DIY Valentine's!!

P had a Valentine's Day party at school today and everyone was asked to bring "friendship bracelets or stickers" for their classmates. I took that to mean they didn't want 2 yr olds hopped up on candy, but P loves nothing more than food, so I made her little friends some Valentines that P was sure to be proud of.

I'm hoping for future holidays, I'll be able to get my act together sooner so I can offer the printables here.

It's the Journey

Why are New Year's resolutions so hard to keep?? Is it because we set unrealistic goals or because 365 days is just too many days to commit to something? This year, one of my goals is to add at least 20 items to my Etsy shop — and the first one is up, in 2 adorable palettes!

I had illustrated this hot air balloon some time last fall, but just didn't know what to do with it. Then, I came across this Ernest Hemingway quote, "It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters in the end." I love, love, love the message and goes PERFECTLY with the illustration!

One down, 19 to go! Twenty prints seems totally doable but, as any designer knows, you are your own worst critic. The process of designing these prints is such a labor of love, partially because I am my own client with no definitive timeline and partially because I want these to be perfect for anyone who may end up purchasing them. I'm happy to say I'm thrilled with the way this turned out and I hope others love it as much as I do.

New! Zodiac prints

When I first started designing nursery prints, my cousin suggested doing a set of cute Zodiac/Horoscope prints in my tubby animals style. I loved the idea but never seemed to have time time to complete it. While I'm making it a goal to add more items to my Etsy shop in 2015, I'm so happy to have gotten one more item in for 2014!!

My sweet pea turns 2!

For those of you that don't know, the name Suite P Studio was inspired by this little cuddle bug.

On Saturday, my sweet baby girl turned two! Where has time gone!?!

She has taught me so much in the last 2 years and I am so proud and lucky to be her mommy. I can't wait to celebrate many more "Happy to you"s with my boo boo bear! xoxo.

A Gifted Session

When I met Dan, he told me he wanted to book a session as a birthday gift for his wife. What a brilliant gift idea!!!! We had a fun time, despite the cold, and captured some great memories.

Natalie Turns One

This adorable family was SO SO fun. First off, they were gorgeous (which makes my job easy peasy) but I really loved that they weren't hung up on having every photo be "perfect". Natalie (who had just turned one) dragged along walked her puppy, had some snacks, made silly poses and lots of silly faces – but in the end, we captured her true personality as a one year old...

 ...and genuine smiles were had by all! Hope you enjoyed!

The sweetest family

Jamie is one of the sweetest, most loving people I know and when I got the opportunity to photograph her family, it turned out to be one of my favorite sessions. SO. MUCH. LOVE and happiness here! Enjoy!
